Sometimes a day that’s “going to the dogs” turns out to be an awesome day after all. That’s what the kids attending the latest “Leaders Creating Future Leaders” event found out on October 29 at the Regina Police Service.
The kick-off event of the new season included a pizza lunch, a speech from Superintendent Darcy Koch, and some play time with K9 Merlot. K9 Merlot is an accredited facility dog that support children who have to come in contact with Regina Police Service. K9 loves his work supporting young people who may be facing situations where they need comfort — and we think he is pretty good at his job too.
Leaders Creating Future Leaders is a joint initiative between Regina Crime Stoppers and Regina Police Service, made possible by the leadership support of our generous corporate partner, Conexus Credit Union. We thank the Regina Public and Catholic School Divisions for making these events possible.
