Scam

This incident happened in December of 2019. An elderly woman received a phone call from a man claiming to be her nephew, saying that he had been in a car accident and was in jail. He then passed over the phone to another man who talked to the elderly woman identifying himself as Raymond Porter, a lawyer representing her nephew. He said that she needed to provide six thousand dollars to get her nephew out of jail. The elderly woman was instructed to Scotia Bank, she then deposited six thousand dollars into a bank account. She later spoke to her actual nephew who confirmed that this was a scam. It's unknown who the two male suspects were that made the phone calls, but the six thousand dollars was collected by a woman, believed to be in her early twenties with dark hair. It is believed all three suspects are travelling thieves from Ontario.
