Fraud over $5000.00

January 15, 2026

The incident happened on January 15th, 2026. A victim received a phone call from someone pretending to be an employee from a bank. The person told the victim that their credit card had been compromised, and they needed to pick up the card immediately. The suspect then said that they would be sending a courier over to pick up the card. Within a short amount of time, a person dressed as a courier, went to the victim’s home address and picked up the card. That card was then used at several local businesses, to make purchases worth more than $5000.00. The suspect is described as a man with white facial hair. He had a black jacket with reflective stripes. He was wearing round, metal-framed glasses. If you know who this person is, contact Crime Stoppers.
