Date of Crime:
A new telephone scam is making its way through the Regina area. The scammers phone and identify themselves as bankers, government, employees or even police officers. They use a range of stories to try to get you to give personal information or money. These stories could be something as simple as the victim being told their banking information has been compromised. Or that a warrant has been issued for their arrest. Most often elderly people are the targets for these types of scams so make sure you educate yourself and others within your family and friends to ensure this doesn't happen to you or someone you care about.
